Through academic exchange with overseas universities, one of our missions is to foster international awareness and stimulate and widen students’ scopes and researches. The university is affiliated with various art universities, mainly in Europe, which enable students to have the opportunities to actively participate in cross-cultural exchanges. In addition, we conduct workshops and mutual short-term exchange programs for an active interaction in the global sphere.
THE ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS IN VIENNA
Since its establishment in 1692, The Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna has been and still continues to be one of the artistic centers for turn-of-the-century art, exemplified by the artist such as Gustave Klimt and Egon Shiele. In the context of contemporary art, the academy has given birth to the Vienna School of “Fantastic Realism”, where the noted “watercolor artist” Friedensreich Regentag Dunkelbunt Hundertwasser was also appointed head of Masterschool for painting in 1981. Numerous galleries and museum of various sizes are located within the city, making it a artistically lively environment within and outside the academy walls.

Willem de Kooning Academy/Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences
The Willem de Kooning Academy of Hogeschool Rotterdam is located in Rotterdam, the second largest city in Holland. It is part of the Hogeschool Rotterdam and is highly regarded as an arts school specializing in arts and design of digital media. The university’s name derives from its alumnus, noted founder of American Abstract Expressionism and one of the most prominent artists of the 20th century, Willem de Kooning.

Konstfack/University of Arts, Crafts and Design
Founded in 1844, Konstfack is located in the Stockholm, the capital and largest city in Sweden. It is one of the most prestigious and largest art schools in the country. The institution is famous for its wide variety of fields in their curriculum, which include fine art, textiles, animation and graphic and industrial design. Approximately 600 students reside in the new campus built in 2004.
Valand Academy, University of Gothenburg
The Valand Academy, University of Gothenberg, offers courses in film, photography, literature, and art which were unified in 2012.
The Valand Academy, which is the pioneer in the Arts Course, was founded in 1865 even before the University of Gotherberg was established in 1891. The Zokei University exchanged partnership agreements with its Photography Course in 2005.

University of the West England (UWE Bristol)
Brstol is approximately a 2-hour away from London by train. Due to its development into financial and artistic centers, Bristol is a lively and active city filled with cultural stimulation. More than 30,000 students are enrolled in the University of the Westof England,Brsitol, where 3,000 staff memebrs provide support. It is a popular school and one of the largest in South-East England. An exchange agreement was established with the Deparmtent of Creative Industry Education in 2005 (the name of the school at the time was Department of Art and Media Design.) The department hold approxiamtely 1,600 student who study on campus which is full of nature, famous for facing the National Park which is home to more than 100 deer.

Winchester School of Art/University of Southampton
A 50-minute train ride will take you to Winchester from London. The city is surrounded by the beautiful countryside where you can find remnants of the Middle-ages such as the Cathedral said to be one of the largest in Europe. The school, founded in 1862, is located in a quiet residential area where approximately 800 students study. The Textile Conservation Center, adjacent to the campus where numerous historical material are undergoing restoration, has gained international recognition.

Schwäbisch Gmünd is a city in Germany where designers from all over the world gather. Approximately 120 design firms and advertisement agencies are located in this city with a population of 50,000. Founded in 1776, the institution inherits the BAUHAUS philosophy as with us, and again similar to us, also uses the term “gestultung” (art and design) in their university name

The Royal Academy of Art/University of the Arts The Hague
Founded in 1682, KABK is one of the oldest art schools in Europe, and is also one of the most prestigious schools to study Dutch art. The Hague, the seat of the Dutch government and parliament, is located approximately an hour away from Amsterdam, and approximately 30 minutes from Rotterdam by train. The main building, a historic landmark located in the center of the campus, consists of 2 galleries and 8 ateliers where more than 1,000 students pursue their artistic work.

Accademia di Bella Arti di Carrara
Carrara is located in the Toscana region, in the North-West of Florence, and is international famous for being the source of marble. Many of Michelangelo’s sculptures were made of marble from Carrara. Many stone dealers’ stores, stone studios and foundaries are located in the city and attract many students from within and outside Italy. Approximately 600 students are enrolled studying sculpture, multi-media art and graphic design.

The Academy of Design and Crafts (Högskolan för design och konsthantverk) is affiliated with the University of Gotheberg and offers courses in crafts, design, and education. Prior to joining the University of Gotherberg in 1977, it was established in 1848. Its campuses are in Gotherberg and Baldersnäs Herrgård, the former of which is lcoated in the city center, near the Rohsska Museum for Design, Fashion, and Decorative Arts. The Zokei University exchanged partnership agreements with the Academy in 2014.

Zurich University of the Arts
The Zurich University of the Arts, located in Zurich, Switzerland, is the largest art college in the country and is home to approximately 2,500 art students. The university was established in 2007, as a result of a merger between Zurich’s School of Art and Design and the School of Music, Drama, and Dance. Affiliated to the university are the Museum of Design, Zurich, the Theatre of the Arts, the Mehrspur Music Club, and the Media and Information Center.
The Zokei University and Zurich University of the Arts exchanged academic agreements and became partnership institutions in 2014.

Chiang Mai University
Established in 1964, Chiang Mai University is one of the leading academic institutions in northern Thailand with 17 faculties and 107 departments.
With 3 campuses, the University’s area exceeds 3,500 acres in total. Forests that long existed prior to the university buildings are preserved, providing an environment in which students can further their studies.
The Zokei University exchanged partnership agreements with Chiang Mai University in 2016.
