Application Period

January 13 (Wednesday) – January 19 (Tuesday), 2021 (Via postal mail, postmarked by application deadline)
※International students must send their applications in a timely manner so that all documents arrive before or on the final date of the application period. It is essential that all international students apply as early as possible to allow enough time to process their applications for admission.


Eligibility

Those who will be more than 24 years of age at the time of entrance (April 1, 2021), and those who apply the following now or by March 31, 2021

  1. Those who earned or are expecting to earn an M.A. degree or the equivalent by the time of entrance.
  2. Those who earned or are expecting to earn an M.A. degree or the equivalent in the overseas program(s) by the time of entrance.
  3. Those who have taken courses offered by overseas institutions in Japan, and who have earned or are expecting to earn a specialized degree by the time of entrance.
  4. Those who have earned an M.A. degree or completed coursework of the equivalent level from the the graduate school or department of a foreign university located in Japan and acknowledged by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
  5. Those selected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan.
  6. The applicants for whom eligibility no.1-no.5 does not apply and for whom zokei determined, via individual qualification assessment, to have an equal level (or more) ability as others with masters or professional degree,

The applicants for whom eligibility no.1-no.5 apply and who are already working and will continue to work at Japanese (domestic) public institutions and companies etc, qualify for eligibility no.6.


Procedures Prior to Applying

(1)Preliminary Interviews

Applicants will have interviews with the faculty member of their choice to discuss research topic.
Email name of the professor you hope to work with to: admission@zokei.ac.jp until December 11(Fri), 2020 .
*Graduates (future or otherwise) of the M.A. program of Zokei University who request a supervisor for their tMaster’s Thesis and coursework are exempted from the Preliminary Interview.

(2) Determine Eligibility

Applicants of Eligibility no.6will have Preliminary Interviews to determine eligibility. Submit the forms below no later than Friday, December 4, 2020 for screening.

Acceptance Announcement

February 25 (Wednesday), 2021 11:00AM

A letter of “Acceptance Notification” and “Admission Documents” will be sent to successful applicants. Should you receive no notice after 5 days of the announcement dates, please contact the Admission Support Office.
Results can also be confirmed online.
Results cannot be given via the telephone.
